Zuoying Project
Since the opening of the Taiwan High Speed Rail (THSR) line, the connecting routes from the THSR Zuoying Station to Zuoying and Nanzi areas have been unable to meet the increased traffic volume. In order to effectively resolve the traffic problem in the Zuoying area, the Railway Reconstruction Bureau launched the “Zuoying Extension Plan of the Kaohsiung Railway Underground Project.”

Project Overview :
The Zuoying Extension Plan involves the construction of a 4.13-kilometer single-hole,double-track tunnel line extending south from Dazhong 2nd Road to link with the TRA's New Zuoying Station and connecting to the Kaohsiung Project via Art Gallery Road. The Old Zuoying Station and Neiwei Station will also be redeveloped as underground commuter stations.
